Thus begins the experiment that is Student Bloggers. I had this idea a while ago. As I wrote in the About page, as a blogger I wanted to read other bloggers who were in the same situation that I was – college. Finally with affirmation from my personal Web 2.0 advisor, I am giving this a shot.
Who knows what will come of this? The blogs currently on the list are ones that I found specifically to get this started. In trying to find them my initial thoughts were confirmed – it is not easy to find each other. So if you are a college student blogger (undergrad or graduate-level) or you know one, shoot me an email and I will get you added as soon as possible.
The eventual plans for this site include several of the features on DCBlogs, which served as an inspiration for Student Bloggers. It, and the similar sites for a few other states and cities, have been doing this kind of meta-blog for a while so it’s time to do it for our community. Specifically, I would like to eventually have a live feed engine as is on DCBlogs and I plan to give a brief daily digest of member posts that deal with life as students.
So that’s it. please help if you can and come back regularly to see our progress.
